Neutron Grants Program Batch #4 — Margined Protocol

Thesis

We have decided to award Margined a grant of up to $80,000 to build their Locust market-making vault product on top of Neutron. These vaults will run market-making strategies on top of Neutron and Duality using Authz. We believe this will be a perfect way to help bootstrap using Neutron's Duality DEX while allowing end users to benefit, and we are delighted to help support this initiative.

Summary

Margined Protocol is developing decentralized perpetual protocols and multichain margin engines for CosmWasm networks. They have already launched power perpetual and vault products within the Cosmos. In addition, they are now building a framework for market-making strategies for Cosmos-based chains, which facilitate a non-custodial product with users issuing Autz grants for specific messages to allow Locust to operate on their behalf. Users retain custody of their assets and may revoke grants at any time.

Grant Deliverables

The deliverables are as follows:

• Development and launch of Margined’s Locust Vault Product on Neutron

For Milestone 1 completion, the criteria are as follows:

• Design, Integration, and Launch of First Vault Strategy product on Neutron

For Milestone 2 completion, the criteria are as follows:

• Launch of two more vault strategies on Neutron

For Milestone 3 completion, the criteria are as follows:

• $5M TVL across vaults launched by Margined on Neutron

Grant Payment Terms

• Upfront Payment: $30,000 USDC
• Milestone 1 Payment: $25,000 USDC
• Milestone 2 Payment: $15,000 USDC
• Milestone 3 Payment: $10,000 USDC
