We are looking to fund initiatives that help onboard the next generation of developers to Neutron to build leading CosmWasm-based applications and make it easier for new developers to build applications easily — given the gap in developer education between CosmWasm and Solidity development, for example.
How will this Core RFP add value to Neutron and the Interchain?
- Currently, it is not easy to onboard new developers into the Cosmos and Neutron, nor is it easy for them to learn to build CosmWasm — this is a large issue for the Interchain
- By improving the developer experience for building Neutron applications (through bootcamps, new scripting languages, or other advances in tooling) we hope that this Core RFP can help facilitate the creation of large swaths of innovative applications on Neutron and new users
What are the Criteria for this Core RFP?
- The applicant must present a piece of tooling, framework, or application which will, in their mind, fix the current state of tooling for CosmWasm development.
- A distribution strategy to get their tooling, framework, or application in the hands of new developers
How will the NGP measure progress for submissions for this Core RFP?
- The NGP will rely on its internal technical resources as well as other resources to ascertain the likely benefit of the submission to improving Neutron’s developer experience
